Operating Room Charge Nurse Manager.
Due to the incumbent, who has been with ParkCreek for years, being recruited to be the Clinical Director of a newly opened ASC, an outstanding opportunity has opened for a “take-charge” Surgical Clinical OR Room Nurse Manager at a free-standing, fully licensed, multi-specialty AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER located in Coconut Creek, Florida (2 miles south of West Boca Raton, in the western part of Broward County. The ParkCreek, with 5 Operating Rooms and 3 Procedure Rooms in approximately 22,000 square feet of space, is a Medicare certified, Florida AHCA & AAAHC accredited ASC that is now enjoying its 11th year as a highly successful, privately-owned physician partnership that is not part of any hospital or chain of ambulatory surgery centers. ParkCreek is comprised of over 80 doctors on its medical staff from the following specialties: GI, General Surgery, Gynecology, Spine Surgery, Orthopedics, Retinal Surgery, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology and Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery. ParkCreek recently opened its joint replacement program after obtaining the Navio Robot for knee arthroplasty. Reporting directly to the Center's Clinical Director, this highly visible, “hands-on” position with total responsibility for ensuring that the operating rooms are fully staffed, equipped and supplied to deliver safe, efficient and responsible patient care, and that all reimbursable implants and supplies are captured and reported to the Business Office so that they can be billed. Responsibilities include:
· OPERATIONS: On a day-to-day basis, the OR Charge Nurse Manager will have a big impact on decisions that will directly impact the medical staff satisfaction, quality of patient care and overall financial performance of the Center. The successful candidate will be a master of juggling many tasks, have an excellent sense of intuition, be able to motivate staff, be keen on efficiency and providing medical staff and their patients with excellence in service, and be knowledgeable regarding materials management/ supplies, equipment and recruitment of staff. The staff for which this position will be directly responsible includes OR/surgical techs, circulating nurses, central sterile/equipment processing techs and orderlies. The OR Charge Nurse will assist the Clinical Director with scheduling staff according to budgetary resources and case volumes. In-service training will be facilitated by the OR Charge Nurse Manager in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
