* Prior Authorization, Certified Pharmacy Technician, 3 plus years experience required.
Candidates will be handling prior-authorizations in support of Rheumatology and Endocrine clinics. Candidate will receive medication requests from patients requiring prior-authorizations and will be responsible for liaising with patients, insurance companies and the pharmacy in order to obtain the appropriate approvals; and in turn get the medications to the clinic patients. Most communication with patients will be via phone, but there will be one-off scenarios where the communication will be in person.
* This is a fast-paced environment: 10 prior-authorizations/day or 120-130/month.
* Candidate will also work upfront and act as the "face of the Pharmacy" and first person patients meet when entering the Pharmacy.
