Job Description: Functions as a member of the practice clinical care delivery team to provide selected clinical care to patients under the direction of an LPN, RN, or medical provider. Performs clerical/administrative duties associated with medical practice front desk operations under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director and/or Site Manager or Office Coordinator. May be required to work in a variety of practice settings.
Minimum Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent education required. Graduate of a program for Medical Assistant.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in Medical Assisting preferred. Three (3) or more years of recent experience in a physician office practice setting. Current AAMA certification.
Licensure and Certifications: Current BLS
Influenza vaccination is required for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
